Voice and text
Talk to your assistant via SMS, email, or voice note
You don't have to open the app to use Backhouse. Your assistant is reachable from the tools already on your phone.
Texting
Text your assistant at its number. You'll find it in the setup guide on your home screen. Ask questions, delegate work, or forward something you just got. It replies right in the thread.
Voice notes
Driving between showings? Send a voice note by text. Backhouse transcribes it, acts on it, and keeps the transcript in your chat history so you can find it later.
Photos and attachments
Text a PDF, or a photo of a signed page, and Backhouse reads it the way it reads an emailed one. It works out what the document is and files it on the transaction whose address it names, when exactly one matches. When it can't tell, the document waits for you instead of landing on a guess.
Other photos, like a house or a water stain on a ceiling, your assistant describes and then asks which transaction, contact, or listing they belong to before attaching them. A photo on the wrong transaction is worse than a photo sitting in the thread.
Forward or cc your workspace's Backhouse address on any thread. You'll find it in Settings → Email. Your assistant reads it and the email shows up in Email, visible to your whole workspace. Only mail from you, your teammates, and your contacts is kept. Attachments that come in this way are classified and filed to the right transaction on their own, since an emailed contract carries enough context to place it.
One conversation, everywhere
Texts, voice notes, and in-app chat all land in the same conversation history. Start something from your car, finish it at your desk.
